Videos that connect people: U.S.-China People-to-People Exchange: Building a New Model

The video: U.S.-China People-to-People Exchange: Building a New Model highlights the impact of the education, science and technology, sports, women’s issues, and cultural programs that play a pivotal role in enhancing and strengthening the ties between the U.S. and China.

The video includes both the U.S. Ambassador to China Gary Locke and the Chinese Ambassador to the U.S. Cui Tiankai as well as exchange program participants.

The video was viewed just over 19,200 times on Mission China’s various social media platforms.  U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry mentioned the video in his recent remarks, “I’ve been to Asia many, many times throughout my life…I really come home with a much deeper understanding of the people, the challenges that they face, and especially the issues that matter to people individually. And as you saw in the video there, they really are the same; they’re not that different – people aspiring to jobs, to education, to opportunity, to family, to absence of conflict and presence of security, stability…”
